Volumetric Rendering Platform Explained
Singular Health’s core proprietary technology, the Volumetric Rendering Platform, uses proprietary code and algorithms to accurately convert standard 2D medical images into volumetric 3D models and is the foundation for the 3Dicom Viewer, 3DicomVSP and GeoVR software solutions.
Initially developed in 2017 to assist in visualising an extremely complex cancer case, the initial algorithms have been continually developed with hundreds of diverse scan formats to generate a ubiquitous platform capable of rendering more than 95% of CT/MRI & PET scans.

In 2020, the Volumetric Rendering Platform was extended to work with various different imaging modalities and common design files for surgical planning (3Dicom) and use in mineral resources exploration & production (GeoVR).
In 2021, VRP has been highly optimised to work on mobile phones and standalone VR headsets, performing 100% local rendering of medical images in less than 60 seconds.
Aside from rapid, native DICOM loading, VRP has the key advantage of empowering end-users by using industry standard inputs, and providing all outputs in shareable, editable industry standard outputs that work with other programs.
